There’s always something going on.
Something you’re dealing with.
Something you’re trying to figure out.
Something that’s frustrating you, weighing on you, or just sitting in the background of your mind.
And in those moments, it can feel like there are a lot of moving parts.
But when you slow it down—even just a little—I’ve found that most situations can be looked at through a much simpler lens.
Not easy… but simple.
There are really three decisions we’re making in any given situation, whether we realize it or not.
And one of the simplest ways to see them is to ask yourself three questions.
The first is: what am I focusing on?
Because wherever your attention goes, your experience follows.
If your focus is only on what’s wrong, what’s missing, or what’s frustrating, that’s what you feel. That doesn’t mean you ignore these feelings or override them trying to be positive. Our emotions are valuable indicators of what’s going on in our life. Pay attention to them. I actually call them waypoints on our Treasure Map to Joy™. And they may be pointing to something that matters—something may be out of alignment in your life.
So, the first question to ask yourself is: What am I actually focusing on right now?
The second is: what meaning am I giving the situation?
Because things happen… and almost instantly, we decide what they mean.
About the situation.
About other people.
About ourselves.
And that meaning shapes everything that comes next.
So instead of just accepting your first interpretation, it can be helpful to pause and ask:
Is this actually true… or is it just familiar?
And then there’s the third question.
What are you going to do about it?
Because once you see where your focus is and the meaning you’ve assigned to it, you have a choice.
You can keep reacting the same way… or you can shift something—your perspective, your response, your next step. That’s your choice and it doesn’t have to be dramatic. But it does have to be intentional.
When you start asking yourself these three questions…
- What am I focusing on?
- What does it mean?
- What am I going to do about it
…you begin to move through your life differently. With more awareness. And more choice.
If you’re ready to take a closer look at how these patterns may be showing up in your life, I invite you to explore my Clarity Sequence™.
Because once you understand where you are, you can begin making more intentional decisions about what comes next.

Clarity doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from slowing down enough to see what’s actually true.
Too often, we try to make decisions or move forward without understanding what’s really happening beneath the surface of our lives. That’s how we end up solving the wrong problem — and creating even more confusion, overwhelm, and misalignment.
My Clarity Sequence™ is a structured, self-led experience designed to help you avoid wasted time, energy, and heartache. It’s your personal GPS — the first step on your Treasure Map to Joy™.
It begins with two essentials: The Assessment (your starting point) and Aspirations (your destination).
Together, they give you the perspective you need before you can confidently take your next step.
With clarity,
Stacie
